What is Hawaii?
Sue Webster and Tim Nobel use sculpture of what appears to be junk to create shadow art. The above image is by far my favorite of the pictures i saw on the site link below.
Ever wanted to freak out a friend by having an entire group of fully clothed people at the bottom of a pool? It’s okay if you haven’t. Regardless, this picture is really cool! This instillation piece is by an Argentinean artist named Leonardo Erlich. The wonderful effect is created by a special glass surface that mimics the appearance and flow of water.
If you go to the site link, there is a video of someone attempting to climb out of the pool.
Today seems to be the optical illusion day. I’m pretty sure you have all heard of the penrose staircase or seen it in the movie Inception. The penrose staircase is the never ending staircase used a couple times in the movie inception by the ever so attractive Joseph Gordon Levit. Once to demonstrate to the main heroine of the movie how the dream world can allow for architectural creations that would not have been possible to create and have exist in real life. http://images.wikia.com/inception/images/0/02/Penrose_Stairs.jpg Another time he uses it to trap and defeat a bad guy who is after him.
ANYWAY, the picture is of another never ending stair case that takes on a different form than the classic, square format.
Now doesn’t this chair look comfortable? Optical Illusions on perspective. This was a piece in a museum in Germany called Documenta X. The chair is said to look perfectly fine and inviting upon entering the room, however, as the viewer walks closer to it, the true nature of the chair is revealed.
